It’s ironic there’s one review that says, “I need every song to sound the same in the vein of “breakdown, scream, breakdown, rinse and repeat,” attempting to mock the what-seems-to-be now old The Ghost Inside fan base, as the new formulaic, Numetal appearing on this disc embodies the other side of this attempted mockery. For the majority of runtime, gone are the melody-driven Move Mes and hardcore-inspired Avalanche ballads, traded out for Killswitch and even, Nickelback-esque nasally choruses and simple song structure that echoes appeal to the brain dead Drowning Pool and Disturbed obsessed modern radio listeners. Bring back the Dear Youth era Ghost Inside and stop with the mainstream pursuit, please.
