Takes a few spins, but afterwards, liking the album turns to loving it. I gave it 4 stars only cuz it needed 2 more solid tracks to hit that 5 rating. Cheers!

Each song is unique yet still has the sound of my beloved Queens.
  • Boring Award

And the boring award goes to, QOTSA. After the last release of iconic music, this is what comes out next? I hit the listen button so fast, I was excited for new tunes, but was not expecting this. So I guess this confirms that even one of the most talented musical groups can make an album that isn’t worth my money.

I knew we’d hear from the “I miss the old QOTSA” crowd. Come on folks. This is pure Queens like it’s always been. They ALWAYS change it up a bit on every release. I was slightly surprised by the abundance of mellower tracks, but most are beautiful and there is plenty of their trademark tasty riffage as well. Sunday, Insignificant Other, and From the Cliff are standouts.
  • This album is very weak

I have been a QOTSA fan since Somgs for the Deaf and over the years they have been putting out some solid stuff. Unfortunately this album is very weak in my opinion. I like the earlier heavy, raw guitar riffs that drew me to Queens; this isn’t it. I feel the best songs on this album are Where the Goth girls at? and Run Away from the Mob. Two stars for two good songs.

Stop complaining. This is legit. What more do you want? Just say thank you…

all the people begging for “old queens” (you didn’t even get the title of the album right, you knob), are the same people you work with that you just know don’t change their undies. change your undies, dude. QOTSA continues to prove they are the last great rock band.
  • Love what I’m hearing so far!
