Love this song. I'd definitely listen to their other songs since this one really impressed me. Great sound.

I especially love their song "Airplanes", but in general they have a great, irregular, quirky musical style that is fantastic to hear! This is not your mass produced, "you'll love it, it's what all the kids are listening to" kind of crap. I saw them open for Blind Pilot in the DC area, thought they were great and purchased their EP there and months later am still loving their tracks. They are pretty fun to watch live too if they come through your area.

i was lucky enough to randomly see these guys live one night, and, seriously, i was blown away. they're great live and this song is just a sample of all the other great songs they haven't put on iTunes yet. they had so much energy live, and so much energy in their recorded songs! highly recommended!!!
  • Local Natives: past and present

Local Natives has already matured from their past CD and EP under their former name Cavil at Rest, which makes me nothing but hopeful for their new CD Gorilla Manor. They pair smooth and sweet upbeat music with meaningful lyrics to handle even the most bittersweet topics, like the death of a family member in Airplanes. They were supposed to release this album a few months ago, but the release was delayed when they were signed to their major label. I hope that the album's release date is the only thing that their new label has changed about them, though I agree they'll probably show up on MTV soon as "the brand new next big thing" (even though they released their first album back in 2007).

I just discovered this group's video of Wide Eyes on Vimeo and enjoy it immensely. I cannot wait for the album to drop. This should be worth the wait.

I love when I just start listening to a new band and they sound so real and so new. I heard their song "World News" on NPR and simply fell in love with them! Can't wait to see where this band will go!

....on what you're about to experience. I discovered the local natives when they opened for the White Rabbits back in November and they blew my mind away!!!!! I have since seen them again live and I cannot stress how amazing they are, ESPECIALLY live!!!! their music is a breath of fresh air and the best thing I have heard in a long time emerging from the indie scene. if you have the chance to come across their album, gorilla manor, and/or see them live, YOU MUST!!! it will change your musical life!!!! amazinglybeautifulorgasmicmusic. btw they just booked coachella if that's any indication of how amazing they are.

Gotta say there is a very similar sound, style and feel as The Temper Trap. Absolutely love their music. I've never heard of Local Natives, but I'm looking forward to hearing more!

sounds ok. not too different from most of the other stuff out there at the moment. @ SheAttle: "indie" is not a genre of music... it's short for independent. meaning the band is not on a major label.
