I first heard sun hands last summer with my older brother and instantly fell in love with local natives. They are the type of band not everyone is used to, they have their own special touch on everything. Those who love or like their music can relate to their songs on a much deeper level.

They’re the real deal and they’re just beginning to hit their stride. I saw them at Forecastle Music Festival this past weekend and went home that night and played the album. A nice mix of rock, luscious harmonies and ethereal atmosphere. You may be the first of your friends to buy this album but I guarantee you won’t be the last.

When I first heard of the Local Natives I expected them to be like all the other indie rock/folk bands. Man, was I surprised. All of the songs have different sounds so you’ll never get tired of hearing them. Also, the concert was phenomenal!!! At first, we were scared the concert would be mellow because the music is somewhat soft, but wow, they really brought the crowd alive. Sun Hands is hyped up and crazy; I love it!!!

I know the heading of this might be a bit confusing. Let me explain. I love rainy daydreams and sleeping and my inner tranquility. Local Natives understand me. Their music is psychedelic and existential. Their musical tone and amazing vocal (Taylor Rice and Kelcey Ayer) work together like an angelic duet. I absolutely adore them. I'd also recommend Gorilla Manor. I first found my favourite band just browsing for new tunes and there I found it. My ticket to absolute perfection. Listen, learn, and love.

A friend got me into Local Natives and I was hooked. I didn't think it could get much better, but this album proved me wrong. There is not one song I dislike on Hummingbird. It's all perfect. I want to cry it's so good. I love it. I love them. This album KILLS IT.
