This album Gorilla Manor was named after the house the band lived in in Orange County, California. They named the album this because their house "was insanely messy and there were always friends over knocking around on guitars or our thrift shop piano." I love Local Natives, especially this album Gorilla Manor, not only because they came together in the town I grew up in, but because life is kinda like a gorilla manor. Life gets messy but like their songs there is so much beauty within the mess.

I've recently discovered this band and I instantly fell in love with the debut album. I don't think I've ever been obsessed with an album so much in my entire life. I love Shape Shifter and Wide Eyes. Good job, lads! Keep up the good work.

The cord progressions are unique and they are lyrically strong. I bought this after Hummingbird. Incredible buy. Do it, you'll love them.

This is one of the best albums I've ever bought. The lyrics are really interesting and poetic. The music makes me dance. Everything in this album feels really sincere and beautiful. This band is really talented.
